For Audience / Customers
The alarm will sound and flash. This is unmistakable as the
noise is very loud and the flashing is an intense red coloured
light
Don't panic!
Staff, caretakers and /or stewards will open the fire doors
and you can leave the building by the nearest available
exit but NOT the front door as this is kept clear for
access by the emergency services.
The fire doors are double "push bar" doors and are located at
the Post Office end of the foyer, in the main hall (3) and in the
dressing rooms (2).
Members of staff, caretakers and stewards will ensure all
members of the public leave the building.
If you have a disability that means
you require assistance please wait for our
staff, caretakers or stewards, who will assist you with
the evacuation. Do not try to get out yourself as you may
inadvertently impede an exit.
All fire exits open onto ramped or level ground and you should
proceed to the rear of the Coronation Hall and assemble in Brogden
Street outside Glynis House.
The member of staff in charge of the building (Duty
Manager) will attend to the emergency services, whilst
other staff, caretakers or stewards will deal with the
evacuation.
If you suspect that someone is left inside the building please
inform a member of staff, caretaker or steward and they will deal
with it.
Do not attempt to re-enter the
building.
