Layout and Styling
The content of this site is viewable in all browsers, but the
layout and styling are only visible in one that supports web
standards such as HTML 4 and Cascading Stylesheets. This is because
we are attempting to make our site more
accessible to disabled users by
designing it to conform to these standards. Browsers which support

Making this site easier to read
You can switch this site to a 'text only' version by clicking
on the 'Text Only' link near to the top of each page.
To change the size of the text, click on View
at the top of your browser. A dropdown menu will appear. From this,
select Text Size and then Larger
or Largest to make the text bigger
You may also find it helpful to change the colour scheme, for
example, to yellow text on a black background. To change the
colour scheme follow these steps:
Click Tools at the top of your browser. A
dropdown menu will appear.
- Select Internet Options... from the menu.
Another box will appear.
- Click on the button marked Accessibility...
which is in the bottom right of the box. A new box will
appear.
- Click in the square next to Ignore colors specified on
Web pages so that it has a tick mark. Click on OK.
- In the Internet Options box (this should still be open; if not,
open it again from the Tools menu) click the
Colors... button'. Another box will open.
- Click the box marked Use Windows colors to
remove the tick mark.
- Now click the rectangle to the right of Text
and choose a text colour (e.g. yellow).
- Then click the rectangle to the right of
Background and choose a background colour (e.g.
black).
- Click OK to confirm your changes, and
OK to close the Internet Options box.
This should change most pages on the site to have large
text that is yellow on a black background.
